This year designers are asked to design an eye catching vehicle wrap for a brand that has submitted a design brief. This format allows companies to explore the option adding vehicle wraps to their marketing and provides designers at all levels to have a chance of designing a vehicle wrap for leading brands.
Anyone that has been thinking of using vehicle wraps as a highly cost effective medium to get their branding out on the streets, can now submit a design brief on the website to be included in the design competition. It's completely free to submit and your company will enjoy great exposure. And should a design be created that you think would be perfect for your vehicle, Roland will facilitate the production through the Roland Wizards countrywide network.
Did you know?
A vehicle wrap is probably the most cost effective way to advertise your company or your product.
A vehicle wrap is easy to apply and remove, and it protects the paintwork, protecting your resale value.
A vehicle wrap can be designed to fit any budget, it does not have to cover the entire vehicle.
A vehicle wrap can capture your audience, while they are captured in traffic!
A vehicle wrap lasts for anything between 3 to 5 years! For a low initial cost to create.
A vehicle wrap adds to the security of your vehicle, as its less likely to be stolen as it's so easily identifiable.
A vehicle wrap can make an old fleet vehicle look new and exciting again!
The competition is open to all designers or creative types. Entry is easy and takes a few minutes to register online and select a brief to start designing for. The prizes are very exciting and feature a PC or MAC laptop each month, and further cash prizes for the overall competition winners. Non-designers can also win great prizes simply by voting for their favourite designs.
As we have come to expect from Roland there is a firm commitment of upfiftment. Entry to these competitions is only R75 and all money raised will be donated to assist a children's home which takes care of kids who have been tragically orphaned by the AIDS pandemic.
The competition will be managed and showcased through a central website which will facilitate the entries and judging. Judging will be done by prominent figures of South Africa marketing, branding and design, as well as through feedback from the public. Winners will be chosen dynamically using a combination of professional judging and public response. These competitions are all about participation, transparency and excitement.
The Wrap2theMax competition runs for a full year and will begin on the 1st of June and culminate with the Sign Africa Cape Town show in May 2010.
Besides the Wrap2theMax competition, there will be four other design competitions to follow. All designers who have registered on the website will be informed via e-mail as the other competitions go live.
Designers are encouraged to visit the website for more information and to register for the Wrap2theMax design competition.
